Memorandum of Understanding between IPSJ and KISS

To promote cooperation between the Korea Information Science Society (KISS) and the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ), these organizations have entered into an agreement on the following matters in a supplement to the basic agreement signed on 24th October,1996.

(1)

Both organizations shall make efforts to enrich their own home pages in English and stretch links between their web sites.

(2)

Both organizations shall exchange information of international technical events from an early stage of planning to encourage joint sponsorship.Each organizations shall assign liaison person(s) to handle this matter.

(3)

Both organizations shall disclose to each other information of their special interest group (SIG) in order to promote cooperation between SIGs.

(4)

Each organizations shall give to the other organization a permission of free translation of an agreed number of magazine articles under the permission of copyright holders.

(5)

Both organizations shall exchange lists of qualified lecturers on topics of mutual interest.

This agreement is subject to revision through negotiation between the two organizations at any time.

This agreement comes into effect by the signature of both organizations on 21st December 1998.
