Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of " Internet and operational technologies for developing well-being network environment". The pandemic of novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has changed our lives dramatically. In business and educational activities, telework and online classes have been rapidly introduced. And different forms of activity, not only face-to-face and online, but also hybrids combining the two, are being flexibly selected according to the infection situation. This has broadened the range of our activities, which were previously limited by face-to-face meetings. This trend will not stop in the future when COVID-19 converges. At the same time, network operation and management technologies supporting online, and hybrid systems are becoming more complex and require higher quality operations. This in turn increases the physical and psychological burden on operators, administrators, and users.
This special issue focuses on issues and initiatives related to network operation and management technologies that support online and hybrid operation and management that make all operators, administrators, and users well-being, with the hoping that COVID-19 will converge globally and on the construction and use of the information and communication infrastructure of the future. We will publish papers on the latest research, development, experiment, and operation to implement and utilize future infrastructure systems. We evaluate papers that solve problems in practice rather than in theory and are considered useful in other environments. We aim to contribute to the evolution of various operation technologies related to information systems. Specifically, the following topics are covered, but not necessarily limited to these.

  ● Topics about telework, online lessons, and so on
  ● Technologies for system operations and administrations
  ● Human resource training in system operation
  ● Other topics related to system operation, administration, and ICT

We invite Makoto OTANI of Saga University as the guest editor for the special issue.
