Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of “the Internet and operation technologies for considering to a new normal”.
In 2020, the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has been spreading worldwide. Due to these affect, corporate activities and educational and research activities will be required to have changing. One of the changes is teleworking and online classes which have been quickly to control the spread of infectious diseases. In a rapid flow of digital transformation (DX), new problems have emerged. It has occurred problems of remote access capacity issues for telework and attacks on those vulnerabilities. In addition, not only online but also online / offline hybrid classes and conferences are being explored. In this way, future social activities will be different from the past, and the practice of a "new normal" will be required, and the practice will require further utilization of ICT and a robust information infrastructure.
This special issue focuses on the Internet and operation management technology with a view to a "new normal", hoping that COVID-19 will converge globally. We will publish papers on the latest research, development, experiment, and operation for implementation and utilization of future infrastructure systems. We evaluate papers that solve problems in practice rather than in theory, and that are considered useful in other environments. We aim to contribute to the evolution of various operation technologies related to information systems.
We target papers in the following areas, but are not necessarily limited to them.
● Topics about telework, online meetings, classes, symposium and so on.
● Technologies for system operations and administrations
● Human resource training in system operation
● Other topics related to system operation and administration
We invite Yutaka Nakamura of Kyushu Institute of Technology as the guest editor for the special issue.
