Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of “Software Engineering”. Authors may submit papers to the regular paper submission process of JIP; or authors may submit symposium papers (full papers) accepted for Software Engineering Symposium 2017 (SES 2017), sponsored by Special Interest Group of Software Engineering, IPSJ. In the latter case, submitted papers will be reviewed not only as symposium papers but also as the papers for this issue simultaneously (provided that authors want it). The guest editor of this special issue is Shingo Takada of Keio University.
This special issue targets state-of-the-art research results and case studies in the following areas of software engineering.

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is currently encouraging more submissions from outside of Japan.
Any papers electronically submitted to JIP before July 31, 2017 are eligible for 30% discount in publication charge when accepted.
