Call for Papers - Special Issue of "E-Service and Knowledge Management toward Smart Computing Society"

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of “E-Service and Knowledge Management toward Smart Computing Society.”
Enjoying a better life in the ever-changing world, people have demanded new services across the borders as well as a better quality of service. New better services are invented only through extensive market researches and constant reflections on businesses, which both require an advanced application of information and communication technologies. Among them, more attention has been attracted to various types of e-service, which is a prominent application of various information and communication technologies. In due course, advanced techniques on knowledge management in a broad sense are becoming all the more important to cope with gigantic, diverse data obtained from various sources. These e-services and knowledge management technologies would lead to realize human-centered smart computing society where people are move to center stage.
This special issue invites experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects (theory, applications and tools) of innovative e-services and knowledge management.

(2) All papers will be reviewed. The review process will be carried out in the same manner as regular issues. However, you have shorter time than usual (two months) for preparation of your responses to inquiries.

(3) Submission deadline is December 19, 2014 January 9, 2015. *Deadline extended

(4) The special issue will be published on the J-Stage website in November, 2015. Preprint will be published on the IPSJ Journal in October, 2015.
