Call for papers - Special issue of "Information Systems for Creation of a New Society"

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of Information systems supporting social activities.
In the special issue of this journal, the program committee especially seeks paper submissions to information systems focusing on theory and practice. The information systems support collection, processing, transfer, and use of information required for the activity of an organism or society. The program committee thinks as important the necessity and usefulness of an information system which are used by the activity of an organization and society. Topics may cover a wide range of issues associated with communities, information system analysis, design, implementation and operation, these theories and practice, and the relation between information systems and social environment. Prof. HATAYAMA, Kyoto University, has been invited to act as a guest editor for this special issue.

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is currently encouraging more submissions from outside of Japan.
Any papers electronically submitted to JIP before July 31, 2015 are free of publication charge when accepted.

Submission Guidelines

(1) All papers must be submitted electronically. Please access the following URL and proceed under the submission instructions:

(2) All papers will be reviewed. The review process will be carried out in the same manner as regular issues. However, you have shorter time than usual (two months) for preparation of your responses to inquiries.

(3) Submission deadline is August 11, 2014 August 18, 2014. *Deadline extended

(4) The special issue will be published on the J-Stage website in July May, 2015. Preprint will be published on the IPSJ Journal in May, 2015.
Notice: Journal of Information Processing (JIP) will be published bimonthly from 2015 (Vol.23). A publication schedule of this special issue might be moved up by two months.
