Call for papers - Special issue of "Internet and Operation Technology Considering Overlay Network Technology"

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of "Internet and Operation Technology Considering Overlay Network Technology".
In order to better new services that are overlaying on the existing technology, we have to adjust the settings of the existing systems and have to measure the security of the existing systems to protect against the threat of new services. However, we do not know how all of the security measures in the existing services and technologies.
In this special issue, we published a paper on the research issues related to the development and operation technology of new service, which is overlaying on the existing technology. Lecturer Prof. Akira SATO of University of Tsukuba has been invited as a guest editor for this special issue.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following areas:
- Development and operation of network services and computer systems for overlay network systems
- Designing administration policy of computer systems to realize high business continuity
- Operation technology of virtual system that supports the cloud computing
- Operation technology of resource sharing (P2P, GRID, file sharing, etc.)
- Network traffic analysis, load balancing technology or operation technology for overlay network systems
- Development and operation of new computer systems

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is currently encouraging more submissions from outside of Japan.
Any papers electronically submitted to JIP before July 31, 2015 are free of publication charge when accepted.

Submission Guidelines

(1) All papers must be submitted electronically. Please access the following URL and proceed under the submission instructions:

(2) All papers will be reviewed. The review process will be carried out in the same manner as regular issues. However, you have shorter time than usual (two months) for preparation of your responses to inquiries.

(3) Submission deadline is June 17, 2013 June 30, 2013.
*Submission deadline has been extended.

(4) The special issue will be published on the J-Stage website in April, 2014. Preprint will be published on the IPSJ Journal in March, 2014.
