The information-and-communications environment in society, such as the global spread of computer networks, various development of information medium, expansion of network services, and generating of the various threats accompanying them, is continuing changing. In recent years, by rapid popularization of mobile terminals such as smart phones into our lives, new types of collaboration or network services emerge. In this special issue, the editorial committee of the journal is seeking paper submissions on technologies and network services to cooperate with social activities.
