• Game rule announcement: Dec 8, 2018
• Submission deadline for the qualifying round: Feb 12Feb 15, 2019 23:59 JST (14:59 GMT) (extended)
• Result announcement: Feb 15Feb 19, 2019 (planned). 16 teams will be selected. Among them, at most eight teams consisting only of members born on or after April 2nd, 1993, will be selected, considering results in the qualifying round and diversities.

We will announce not only the results (win/lose) of the matches but also race logs of the games on the result announcements of Qualifying and Final Rounds.

Practice Round

(Jan 26) We will hold Practice Round that provides an opportunity for competing with other participants before Preliminary Round. For more details, please refer to the post with [[[Program Submission for Practice Round]]] (or "Practice Round" in the "Classwork" tab) in the Google Classroom (Register to the classrom following the instruction at the Entry page.). Note that participating the Practice Round is NOT mandatory for entry to the contest.

Submission Trial Page

(Jan 26) Submission Trial Page is now available! You can check whether the submission file works on the match-up server to be used for Preliminary (Qualifying) Round. You can also find an example of an acceptable archive file in this page.

Result of online Preliminary (Qualifying) Round

By conducting the Preliminary (Qualifying) Round, the following 16 teams have been selected for advancing to the World final among 45 submissions. Congratulations to all winners! See you in Fukuoka, Japan! The IPSJ office will contact the winners by email about program submission for Final Round and travel expenses support.

We also thank all the teams including those who cannot advance to the Final Round for their submissions to SamurAI Coding 2018-19.

Details of the results of the Preliminary (Qualifying) Round are now available on the Submission Trial Page.

Note:

• "Young?" denotes whether all the team members were born on or after April 2nd, 1993.
• "D" in the Rank column means that they are disqualified because their AI programs did not work or cannot be built (Committee checked that their submitted archive files do not work at the Submission Trial Page).

Based on the Qualifying Round Rules, we selected

• the top eight teams, and
• the top eight teams among the remaining teams which consist only of members born on or after April 2nd, 1993.
