Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of "the Internet and operation technologies for supporting full-scale Digital Transformation". Our society is undergoing significant changes due to the influence of COVID-19. For example, the introduction of telework and online lessons has progressed rapidly to avoid face-to-face activities in corporate and educational activities. And, it is conceivable that this trend will involve fields that have not been digitized or remoted so far and will make full-scale progress toward DX (Digital Transformation), which will change social life for the better by the penetration of ICT. Various efforts have been made and discussed in the field of management and operation to support these activities. However, in order to operate the information infrastructure with a view to full-scale DX, it is necessary to design a system that can provide sustainable services, not just temporary online and digitalization, and there are issues such as training for users. In addition, when migrating from an existing system, it is necessary to review the business flow, and it is expected that the network management and operation system will change accordingly.
This special issue focuses on the Internet and operation management technology for supporting "DX", hoping that COVID-19 will converge globally. We will publish papers on the latest research, development, experiment, and operation to implement and utilize future infrastructure systems. We evaluate papers that solve problems in practice rather than in theory and are considered useful in other environments. We aim to contribute to the evolution of various operation technologies related to information systems.
We target papers in the following areas but are not necessarily limited to them.
● Topics about Digital Transformation for telework, online lessons, and so on
● Technologies for system operations and administrations
● Human resource training in system operation
● Other topics related to system operation, administration, and ICT

We invite Minoru IKEBE of Oita University as the guest editor for the special issue.
