Editorial Committee of the Journal of Information Processing
Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of "New Directions in Music Information Processing (Special Issue Marking the 20th Anniversary of IPSJ SIGMUS)".
The great progress in music information processing research in Japan has been supported by the IPSJ special interest group on music and computer (SIGMUS), which was inaugurated in 1993 and will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2013. Fundamental technologies for computer science as well as interdisciplinary endeavor, and industrial-academic collaborations are a distinctive nature of music information processing research these days in Japan, and also worldwide. Thus the special issue is soliciting papers that cover a wide aspect of music information processing research. Submission of any research work related to the field of music information processing is welcome.
The submissions are strongly encouraged to provide multimedia content attachments that enhance understanding of the presented work, though the paper itself should be written in a self-contained manner. The attached contents will be seen together with the paper in the review process. The contents attached with accepted papers will be made accessible from an IPSJ page, to help readers obtain a better understanding of the research.
The special issue invites Dr. Masataka GOTO of AIST as the guest editor.
