Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of "Internet and Operation Technology from Risk Management Perspective".
Reconstruction after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami has continued through nine months after the occurrence. For network researchers, network engineers and system administrators, it is worth considering what we have done directly after the earthquake and what we should do. It also leads us to think what trouble of network or computer system we should suppose in ordinary operations.
In this special issue, we are making a concerted effort to attract excellent papers discussing problems concerned in operation technology of network and computer system from risk management perspective with a lot of experiences and practices after the earthquake as a beginning point of discussion. As a result, it has aimed to contribute to the development of the Internet as dependable social infrastructure.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following areas:
- Development and operation of reliable network services and computer systems
- Designing administration policy of computer systems to realize high business continuity
- Operation technology of virtual system that supports the cloud computing
- Operation technology of resource sharing (P2P, GRID, file sharing, etc.)
- Network traffic analysis, load balancing technology or operation technology of IX
