Abstract: This research examines how promoting digitalization within Kaneta Jidosha Works, a car repair factory in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, with over 60 years of history, can contribute to regional revitalization in Asahikawa and related cities. Although digital transformation (DX) has gained attention nationwide, many small businesses remain reliant on manual processes due to personnel shortages or resistance to change. At Kaneta Jidosha Works, despite employing 100 workers, digitalization has lagged, resulting in paper-based operations. The study aims to address these issues by exploring ways to improve efficiency and adopt paperless systems, enhancing both internal workflows and the broader regional economy. This effort seeks to bridge the gap between understanding the benefits of digitalization and actively implementing these measures, thereby driving sustainable development and regional growth.
