Exploratory research on learning analytics adoption in Japanese higher educational institutions

This presentation is a late-breaking report on an exploratory study on institutional approaches to Learning Analytics (LA) in Japan. The field of LA is rapidly expanding in higher education institutions (HEIs) around the world, driven by the emphasis on data-driven education to enhance teaching and learning outcomes. Despite this growth, exploratory research on LA adoption and development in Japan remains limited. This paper presents findings from a nationwide survey involving 77 HEIs as a late-breaking report.
