Information for Authors

Simultaneous Submission to Symposium and Workshop

In submitting a paper to SAINT, the authors shall acknowledge that no paper substantially similar in content has been or will be submitted to another conference or workshop during the SAINT review period.

However, in order to facilitate harmonization between Symposium and Workshop, simultaneous submission of a paper to both SAINT Symposium and one of Workshops will be allowed, provided that Workshop submission is withdrawn if the paper is accepted by Symposium. Procedures for this shall be:

1) The paper submission shall be done twice, the one for Main Symposium and the other for one of Workshops. The paper length for the Workshop may be reduced.
2) When submitting a paper to Symposium, authors shall indicate a simultaneous submission and a planned Workshop name as a footnote. (It is also required to indicate a simultaneous submission at a web submission page)
3) When submitting a paper to a Workshop, authors shall indicate a simultaneous submission and a Symposium paper ID as a footnote. (It is also required to indicate a simultaneous submission at a web submission page)
4) Symposium Program Chairs will notify an acceptance or rejection of a simultaneously submitted paper as a Symposium regular paper to authors as well as organizers of the relevant Workshop. Note that simultaneously submitted papers are not subject to Symposium short papers.
5) Upon a receipt of a Symposium accepted paper, Workshop organizers shall acknowledge that the paper is withdrawn from that Workshop.
6) The footnote about simultaneous submission shall be deleted when uploading a final manuscript.
