Call for Papers of SAINT2010 Workshop (8) - HSNCE 2010 The First Workshop on High Speed Network and Computing Environments for Scientific Applications (HSNCE2010) In Conjunction with SAINT2010 Seoul, Korea July 19 - 23, 2010 http://infonet.cse.kyutech.ac.jp/conf/saint10/ CALL FOR PAPER * THEME OF THE WORKSHOP Nowadays, the development of multi-physics and scale simulations, such as Life science, Geophysics, Cosmic physics, Climate, are already getting a lot of attention. These applications cost a lot of network data transfer beyond continents, and also performed in grid environment and cloud virtually. For example, human upper airway flow simulations are one of the examples of multi-physics and scale simulation. The airway flow simulation outputs several tens Tera bytes data. In this case, a simulation needs the other simulation data in time course. In fact, the former simulation is performed in a computation center, and the latter simulation is performed in the other computation center. In this integrative simulation, large scale data need to be transfer between each center in time coerce. However, current simulation result data size is "Tera or Peta scale", so that conventional approach is not an appropriate comprehensive solution. What is a suitable design and implementation of such objects with ICT? How they could be connected to a high speed network to provide efficient performance or how could they communicate with each other? This workshop is one of the best opportunities to address this theme in sufficient depth and breadth, and is intended to share knowledge and exchange ideas, thereby promoting new studies and research topics in this area. We invite not only academic and industrial researchers but also business persons, all who are interested in "Data intensive network and computation" and "Grid technology". In terms of these aspects, several reports on research, reports or suggestions on business models and so on are welcome. * TOPICS OF INTEREST - Multi-physics and Scale Simulations - Computational Fluid Dynamics - Computational Aero-Acoustics - Volume Rendering - Virtual Reality - Remote Visualization - High Performance Computing - Grid Technology for Scientific Applications - High-speed Networking - Long-fat Network - Transport Protocol - Protocol Offloading - Congestion Control - Error Detection & Recovery - Overlay Networking - Network Emulation * PAPERS AND AUTHOR'S KIT Workshop papers should be within 4 pages, no extra page is allowed.
