Development of Farmers Market Information System to connect with some social Stakeholders
Large portion of population in Tanzania are rural small scale farmers who depend on crop farming as primary economic activity. These farmers don’t get profit because they have no access to information about markets as a result they need to sell their crops to middle men at lower and exploited prices.
In this paper we develop web based and mobile SMS information system using Waterfall Software development model which informs farmers on market prices for their crops and connect them directly with buyers through Short Message Service (SMS) and hence sell their crops at market prices and get better income.
