Decentralized Management for Power Optimization in Cloud Data Centers Using VM Migration

For power optimization in data centers, reallocating the virtual
machines (VM) using migration technique has become popular recent days.
Though a number of techniques for power optimization have been proposed
most of them introduce centralized controller which can affect the
scalability of increasing size of data centers. In our research, we propose a holistic and decentralized approach to the optimization of power in data center using VM migration considering both the CPU utilization of physical machines and network performance with dependency between the VMs. We also evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed technique by using simulations.
