平面から立体へ可逆変化する構造を用いた教材開発

A method for creating a strong structure that changes from a two-dimensional(2-D) mode into a three-dimensional(3-D) mode when the two endpoints are pulled has been developed. The deformation is reversible and depends on the tension between the endpoints. By using this technique, 3-D objects thought to be generally difficult, such as a globe or a spheroid, can be built using sheet materials, such as paper. This technique can be applied to various fields: educational materials, packaging, emergency tents, and a portable large-scale projection system. In this study, I propose to apply this technique to educate astronomy.
