To generate a proper facial expression with various styles including those exaggerated facial expressions, a dimensional emotion
representation of facial expression is useful, which associates a facial expression with an emotion. Our goal is to estimate emotion values of anime-like facial expressions. We adopt a combination approach of facial parts. The facial parts perform the basic actions to realize Japanese anime-like facial expression and are defined in a wire-frame 3D face model in advance. In this paper, we propose an estimation method using linear regression, which appropriately models the results of the subjective evaluation.
