Fundamental Study of Reconstructing Botanical Tree's 3D Models from Kinect's Images and Dynamical Behaviors of Non-leafy Trees

Reproducing the dynamical behaviors of non-rigid object such as botanical tree in 3D is a challenging problem due to its complicated behaviors. This paper studies a method to solve the problem. We first reconstruct the 3D model using the Kinect Fusion algorithm. Then we track the dynamical behaviors of non-leafy botanical tree using particle filter based method. Lastly, we add the tracking data to the 3D model to produce the dynamical behaviors of botanical tree in 3D.
