How to reach the conference venue from the train station.
- by walk
(It is walking distance!)
Out of the train station you turn right and continue in that
direction until you reach Piazza Duomo square.
The train station is in Via Dogana street, to reach
Piazza Duomo you will walk along Via Delle Orfane e Via Cavour.
In Piazza Duomo you continue in the same direction,
walking along the side of the square.
Via Verdi is the street departing from the main entrance of the
church (the Duomo).
It is a rather short walk, less than 10 minutes,
and most of it is in the historical part of the town,
where normal car traffic is not allowed.
If you need to ask for direction, "Duomo" (dwo-mo) is
certainly known to everyone you meet.
- by bus
The bus stop is in front of the train station,
you just have to cross a street
(do not go on the other side of the park).
Take bus "A" or "B", they both go to Piazza Duomo (2nd stop).
- by taxi
Taxis can be found just outside of the train station.
Ask for "Via Verdi 26" or "Facolta di Sociologia".
- by car (We do NOT recommend.)
There is very limited parking close to the School of Sociology
and normal car traffic is not allowed in the street in front of it.
When exiting the highway, ask for "Piazzale Sanseverino".
This is a large parking not far from the conference location.
