Call For Papers : SAINT2005 Workshop - http://www.saint2005.org/ - This workshop aims to bring together engineers, researchers and others interested in the latest advances in network security. We are interested in innovative defense technologies against malicious attacks, survey of security issues in relative areas, attack simulations etc. Invited talks will focus on new insights, preliminary or concrete research results, visions and future plans in this evolving area. Tutorials are also welcome. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to: - Denial-of-service attacks and countermeasures - IP traceback - Attack simulations - New types of attacks - Firewall technologies - Network security policies - First-hand experiences in defending against attacks - Honeypot - Intrusion detection - Security issues in peer-to-peer - Security issues in active networks - Security issues in ubiquitous and pervasive computing - Analysis of network and security protocols Paper Submission: Oct 7, 2004 Notification: Oct 20, 2004 Final Manuscript: Nov 1, 2004 Workshop Date: One day during Jan 31- Feb 4, 2005. The exact date will be announced later. Papers and Author's Kit: Workshop papers should be within 4 pages, no extra page is allowed. The Proceedings of the Symposium and the Workshops will be published, in separated volumes, by the IEEE Computer Society Press. After a review process by Organizers and Program Committee of the Workshop, authors of accepted papers will be requested to send its final manuscript to IEEE-CS press no later than November 1. Authors are kindly requested to submit their papers as early as possible to facilitate our review process. Registration: The IEEE policy states that accepted papers can be published only if at least one author has registered for presentation. Therefore, authors of accepted paper must register along with the submission of their final manuscript. SAINT Conference Registration fees include a copy of the Conference proceedings, a copy of the Workshop proceedings and admission to the Conference/Workshop sessions. Note: The date and length (a full or half day) of the Workshop will be decided by SAINT2005 Organizing Committee taking account of the number submitted of papers, and be notified on the SAINT2005 web. Please also note that, according to the SAINT2005 Organizing Committee, the Workshop is subject to cancellation when the number submitted of papers will not be enough.
