Proposed SAINT2004 Workshop 8 : High Performance Grid Computing and Networking Organizer and Program Chair: Satoshi Matsuoka Tokyo Institute of Technology and National Institute of Informatics, Japan High Performance Grid Computing and Networking have given rise to considerable interest throughout the world for its potential benefits in the coming years, especially as basis for the next-generation e-Science infrastructure. In collaboration with the Japanese Ministry of Education gA05 Group of Special Priority Area Research Group for Informaticsh, this workshop aims to exchange and disseminate the latest research results as well as experiences from Grid computing and its underlying high-performance networking infrastructure. The scope of the workshop includes but not limited to the following topics: - Middleware for Grid computing - E-Science application experiences using Grids - Data (Intensive) Grid middleware and its application - Grid Infrastructure Buliding and its Experiences - High-performance networking for Grids - Grid Performance Evaluation Paper submission and review process A dedicated Program Committee will review submitted papers, and acceptance will be based on standard criterion of research merits. Authors will be notified after review of submitted papers. Authors of accepted papers will then receive Author's Kit etc. from the IEEE Computer Society. The final manuscript will be due by November 1. Please note that a paper should be strictly limited within 10 pages, and extra charge will be applied for pages 8 to 10. Authors will also be requested to register the SAINT2004 for paper presentation. Author registration should be done prior to submission of the final manuscript.
