概要　Abstract

社会に流通する多様な情報，および分散・蓄積された大量データを効率的に扱うために，情報やデータの品質を確保する基盤技術の研究開発が急務となっている．本セッションでは，情報爆発時代を見据えた情報学分野における情報の信頼性とデータ品質を保証するための諸問題を議論する．

15:30-16:10　基調講演：Information Relevance and Data Overload in the Web

With the continuous growth of the Web, in particular the Web 2.0, one important question is the relevance of its content. In this context, we have to use relevance in a more general sense, not only if the information is useful, but also if we can trust it. In this talk we explore how the concepts of quality, credibility, reputation, abuse, and Web spam interrelate.

16:10-16:30　パネル討論 position talk(パネリスト）：画像・映像情報の信憑性

和田 俊和

WEB上には極めて多数の画像・映像情報があり，多くの人々はこれらを通じて情報を入手している．しかし，画像・映像情報には，現実の世界を正しく反映していない人為的に加工されたものが多数含まれている．これらは，１）加工された画像・映像，２）画像・映像は加工されていないが説明文が加工されているもの，３）画像・映像も説明文も加工されていないが，その組み合わせが間違っているもの，に大別される．本講演では，主に１）の加工技術とそれを見抜くためのDigital Forensic技術の動向について述べる．

1974年 京都大学工学部卒業，1976年 京大大学院工学研究科(修士)修了，1979年 神戸大学教養部助手, 1986年 神戸大学工学部助教授, 1994年 神戸大学教授, 2001年 京都大学教授(情報学研究科)

Ricardo Baeza-Yates
Ricardo Baeza-Yates is VP of Research for Europe and Latin America, leading the Yahoo! Research labs at Barcelona, Spain and Santiago, Chile, and also supervising the lab in Haifa, Israel. Until 2005 he was the director of the Center for Web Research at the Department of Computer Science of the Engineering School of the University of Chile; and ICREA Professor and founder of the Web Research Group at the Dept. of Information and Communication Technologies of Univ. Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. He maintains ties with both mentioned universities as a part-time professor for the Ph.D. program.
His research interests includes algorithms and data structures, information retrieval, web mining, text and multimedia databases, software and database visualization, and user interfaces.

昭和６２年東工大大学院修士課程修了．平成２年同大大学院博士課程修了．同年岡山大学工学部助手．平成６年同大大学院自然科学研究科助手．平成７年同大工学部講師．平成９年京都大学大学院工学研究科助教授．平成１０年同大大学院情報学研究科助教授．平成14年，和歌山大学システム工学部教授．現在に至る．工学博士．画像理解，パターン認識の研究に従事．平成７年 David　Marr 賞．平成９年情報処理学会山下記念研究賞．平成１１年電子情報通信学会論文賞．平成21年システム制御情報学会論文賞各受賞．情報処理会，電子情報通信学会，システム制御情報学会，IEEE会員．

稲垣 陽一
1990年東京大学文学部言語各科卒業、（株）シーエーシー入社 技術研究室に配属、スタンフォード大学コンピュータサイエンス学科客員研究員（96-98）、きざしサーチエンジンの研究開発を経て、2007年1月より（株）きざしカンパニー代表取締役専務CTOをつとめる
